Truth About Mailing Lists & Sales Leads

Don’t expect 100% accuracy.
Our lists are compiled and updated continuously from a wide variety of public sources. And although our business database is telephone-verified, businesses change every few minutes, making it simply impossible to be 100% accurate. Plus, at any given time, nearly 20% of the consumer population is moving, too. Our databases are not perfect, but they’re still the best business and consumer databases available anywhere. You will find a small percentage of errors. It is not uncommon to have 8-10% undeliverable names, especially in industries and areas with high levels of turnover. If you mail 100 pieces using our lists, it’s not unusual for 8-10 pieces to come back undeliverable. If you are making phone calls, you can expect 10% of the calls will not be completed. The key is the results or responses you receive, not the number of returns. If it increases sales, it’s a good list!

We can’t qualify every business name.
We compile and telephone-verify our database in-house. However, we can’t guarantee that every name is valid under the categories in which they are classified. For example, if a company is listed under “Computer Dealers,” we can’t guarantee that they actually sell computers (although most do). We must rely on the business classifications as they appear in our sources.

Our lists are a starting point.
We suggest that you verify the list you get from us and build a more valuable prospecting database for yourself.
